How Does the CoolSculpting® Procedure Work?
Our patients describe CoolSculpting® as a comfortable procedure. CoolSculpting® requires no anesthetic or preparation. During the procedure, a special cooling applicator is placed on the area being treated. The applicator will apply some suction and cool temperatures, so you may feel a pinch or coldness. However, the initial cooling feeling dissipates within a few minutes, and you can expect to sit comfortably for the duration of the treatment. The treatment lasts for approximately 30 minutes but varies based on the target area being treated.
CoolSculpting® Recovery and Results
Since CoolSculpting® is non-invasive, most patients find that they are able to return to work and other normal activities immediately following their appointment. It is normal to have some bruising, swelling or redness afterward, but these side effects generally resolve within a few days or weeks.
